Butter and Clay, 2001
butter, clay
production: artist
A simple installation called Butter and Clay, consists of a piece of butter, removed from the factory packaging, and a piece of clay, modeled to be the same shape and size as the butter. Thus, two pieces of the same shape and size standing next to each other on a pedestal in the gallery are inevitably subject to comparison. This is how their physical similarities and all the wealth of their material and meaningful differences come to the fore.
